Project Overview

The project aims at producing a holistic methodology and a set of solutions for the engineering and operation of communities of AIs across the Software Engineering life-cycle. The solutions will be composed into an integrated MOSAICO platform, handling communication, orchestration, governance, quality assessment, benchmarking and reuse of AI agents. By fostering collaboration between specialized AI agents and human experts, MOSAICO addresses key challenges in accuracy, bias minimization, and efficiency, validated through use cases in immersive technologies, finance, aerospace, and IoT. At the end of the journey, software engineers and citizen alike will be able to model software systems through open discussions with AI agents collaborating to propose and decide on a technical solution.

Our Contribution

BESSER and MOSAICO will benefits from each other as (1) the low-code approach supported in BESSER will make accessible the creation (and configuration) of agents to people with different technical skills and (2) BESSER will integrate the results of MOSAICO to assist modeling activities through collaboration with varieties of AI agents.

Project Overview

Climaborough is a European project running from 2023 to 2026 that helps cities test and scale climate-friendly solutions to move toward climate neutrality. It works through three main ideas: ClimHub, a space where cities and solution providers collaborate; Climate Sandbox, which creates a legal and administrative environment to test new technologies and social innovations; and Climate Service, which turns climate data into tools like dashboards and forecasts. The project involves 12 cities across Europe, with some acting as leaders and others as followers, and focuses on real-life experiments. One of its main outputs is a city data platform that uses both historical and real-time data and can be used by technical and non-technical users through low- or no-code tools. The project also encourages citizen participation, public procurement of innovation, and helps move promising solutions from prototypes to full-scale deployment.

Our Contribution

BESSER project contributes to the Climaborough initiative by providing a no-code solution for creating customizable dashboards. These dashboards enable cities to monitor and evaluate their progress toward climate neutrality. BESSER’s low-code platform facilitates the rapid development of dashboard components, while the integrated no-code interface allows non-technical users to personalize and adapt the dashboards to their specific needs.

Project Overview

The BESSER project, short for “Better Smart Software Faster,” is an open-source research initiative based in Luxembourg. It focuses on building a low-code platform to make the development of smart software faster and easier. Its goal is to let both software engineers and domain experts create, adapt, and deploy applications without needing to write all the code manually. The project introduces B-UML, a modeling language that allows users to describe domains, user interfaces, constraints, and data, which are then automatically transformed into working software through code generators. This approach aims to address the shortage of skilled developers, improve software quality and speed, and make the development process more accessible. It also considers ethical and fairness concerns in software design and hopes to strengthen the competitiveness of companies in Luxembourg and beyond.
